Sandra Bullock is one of the most recognizable people in Hollywood, but ever since adopting her son Louis in 2010, she has been fighting a battle against Hollywood. They tell her she is not his mother, that she is his “adoptive mother”. And now she is fighting back.
Sandra Bullock finally took a stand against those who criticize her faith in God and the miracle He blessed her with five years ago… This left me speechless!
Sandra Bullock finally responded to the negative opinions about her 5-year-old old son, Louis. Of course the Oscar-winning actress had some wise words that put every hater to SHAME!
The 51-year-old mother adopted Louis in 2010. After years of being called an “adoptive mother” and being told Louis “is not her child” just because they do not share the same blood, she put her foot down. Here’s some of my favorite lines from Sandy’s epic comeback…
“I’m tired of hearing from everyone that he is not my child, that he is not my blood. That I am a so called “Adoptive Mother”. I am a Mother. I need no other label or prefix. I know I’ve adopted him and I am proud of it. He may not have my eyes, he may not have my smile, he may not have my skin tone, but he has all my heart.A mother is a person who raises, loves and provides for the child. It doesn’t matter if you share the same blood or not. I hold my son in my arms and thank God for bringing him to me.”
I am proud of Sandra Bullock for taking a stand against those who ignorantly condemn the blessing of adoption. Referring to any child as “the adopted one” by pointing out the lack of common blood is not what Our Heavenly Father hoped for.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world,” James 1:27.
“He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,” Ephesians 1:5.
“It is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring,” Romans 9:8
